♰ በሶርያ የሚገኙ ኦርቶዶክስ ክርስቲያን ወገኖቻችን ባለፈው እሑድ ዕለት በደማስቆ ቅዱስ ኤልያስ ቤተክርስቲያን በሙስሊሞች የተገደሉትን ፳፭/25ሰማዕታት በማሰብ፤ “እኛ የክርስቶስ ወታደሮች ነን” እያሉ በየጎዳናው ድምጻቸውን በማሰማት ላይ ይገኛሉ።

♰ በጸሎት ተባበረው ሰማዕታቱን በማክበር እና በተቃውሞ ሰልፍ በሶርያ ያሉ ክርስቲያኖች እንዲህ እያሉ ጎዳናውን ሞልተውታል።

"መስቀልህን ከፍ ከፍ አድርግ!"

"መስቀልህን ወደ ላይ ከፍ አድርግ!"

"የክርስቲያኖች ደም ክቡር ነው!"

በተጨማሪ ኦርቶዶክስ ክርስቲያኖቹ በደማስቆ ቅዱስ ኤልያስ ኦርቶዶክስ ቤተክርስቲያን ውስጥ ሆነው፤

“ክርስቶስ ተነስቷል!

የናንተን ሽብር አንፈራም!

ሞት በእኛ ላይ ስልጣን የለውም!

ጌታችን በሞቱና በትንሳኤው አሸንፏልና።”

እያሉ እየዘመሩ በድጋሚ ተሰብስበዋል።

በሶርያ ያሉ ክርስቲያኖች ጦር መሳሪያ አላነሱም። ከበሽር አል አሳድ ጎን አልቆሙም፣ አዲሱን እስላማዊ አገዛዝም አልተቃወሙትም። በሰላም ለመኖር ብቻ በመጠየቅ ከፖለቲካ ትግል ርቀዋል።

ግን አሁንም ኢላማ ሆነዋል። ፳፭/25 ንፁሀን ክርስቲያኖች በፀሎት ላይ እያሉ ተጨፍጭፈዋል።

😔 ሙስሊሞች በሶሪያ ደማስቆ የነቢዩ ኤልያስ ኦርቶዶክስ ቤተክርስቲያን ውስጥ ፳፪/22 ኦርቶዶክስ ክርስቲያኖችን ጨፍጭፈዋል

😔 በኢትዮጵያ ከ፳፯/27 በላይ ኦርቶዶክስ መነኮሳት በዝቋላ ቅዱስ አቡነ ገብረ መንፈስ ቅዱስ ገዳም ተጨፍጭፈዋል።

😔 በአሜሪካ አንድ የታጠቀ ሰው መኪናውን በዌይን ሚቺጋን ወደሚገኘው ቤተክርስቲያን በማስገባት በፀሎት ስነ ሥርዓት ላይ በሚገኙ ምዕመናን ላይ ተኩስ ከፍቷል።

፩ እንዳትሰናከሉ ይህን ተናግሬአችኋለሁ።

፪ ከምኵራባቸው ያወጡአችኋል፤ ከዚህ በላይ ደግሞ የሚገድላችሁ ሁሉ እግዚአብሔርን እንደሚያገለግል የሚመስልበት ጊዜ ይመጣል።

፫ ይህንም የሚያደርጉባችሁ አብንና እኔን ስላላወቁ ነው።

፬ ነገር ግን ጊዜው ሲደርስ እኔ እንደ ነገርኋችሁ ታስቡ ዘንድ ይህን ተናግሬአችኋለሁ። ከእንናንተም ጋር ስለ ነበርሁ በመጀመሪያ ይህን አልነገርኋችሁም።

♰ United in Prayer, Honoring the Martyrs, and Protesting, Christians in Syria fill the streets, Saying:

 “Keep your cross held high”

“Raise your cross to the highest”

“The blood of Christians is precious”

Orthodox Christians gather again in St. Elias Orthodox Church in Damascus, Syria chanting Christ is Risen. We are not afraid of your terror. Death holds no power over us for our Lord has conquered it by His own death and resurrection.

Christians in Syria did not take up arms. They did not side with Bashar al-Assad, nor did they resist the new government. They stayed out of the political struggle, asking only to live in peace.

Still, they are targeted. Twenty-five innocent people were massacred while praying.
