✞ መስከረም ፲፮/16 ቀን ደገኛዋ እናት እሌኒ ቅድስት ደመራ ደምራ በደመራው ጢስ አማካኝነት
የተቀበረበትን ቦታ አገኘች መስከረም ፲፯/ 17 ቁፋሮ ጀመረች፤ ከ ፫፻/300 ዘመናት በላይ ቆሻሻ እየተጣለበት ታላቅ ተራራ አህሎ ነበርና እነሆ ቁፋሮ ስድስት ወራት ፈጀባቸው መጋቢት ፲/10 ክብር ይግባውና የጌታችን የመድኃኒታችን የኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ መስቀል ለዘመናት ተቀብሮ ከኖረበት ቦታ የወጣበት ቀን ነው።
ሦስት መስቀሎች ናቸው፤ ሁለቱ መስቀሎች ሽፍታዎቹ የተሰቀሉባቸው ሲሆኑ አንዱ የጌታችን ነው፤ ታዲያ እንዴት ለየችው ቢሉ የጌታችን መስቀል ታላላቅ ተዓምራትን አድርጓል ድውይ ፈውሷል ዓይ ነስውር አብርቷል።
ይህንን ቀን ቅድስት ቤተክርስቲያን "መስቀለ እየሱስ" ስትል ታከብረዋለች፤ በዛሬዋ ቀን ዝማሬው፤ ምስጋናው፤ ትምህርቱ፤ ቅዳሴው ፤ ንባቡ ሁሉም መስቀልን የሚመለከቱ ናቸው።
♱ እንደ ኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን እምነት የእውነተኛው መስቀል ግኝት በመጋቢት ወር ነው ተብሎ ቢታመንም መስቀል ግን በዐቢይ ጾም ወቅት በዓል እንዳይከበር ወደ መስከረም ተወስዷል። .
😇 ሐዋርያው ቅዱስ ጳውሎስ ስለ መስቀል የሚጣፍጥ ነገር ተናገረ እንዲህ ሲል፤

♱ Meskel (Cross) is an Ethiopian and Eritrean Orthodox Tewahedo Church holiday that commemorates the discovery of the True Cross by the Roman Empress Saint Helena.
♱ Tonight and tomorrow we Ethiopian Orthodox Christians celebrate The Feast Day which marks the discovery of The True Cross of Jesus Christ.
The discovery of this revered relic within Christianity can be traced back to the fourth (4th) century when the mother of the Roman Emperor Constantine, Queen Helena received divine guidance to its location.
According to legend, Queen Helena, now canonized, had a dream. In the dream, she was told to make a bonfire from which the smoke would show her the location where the True Cross of Jesus was buried.
After doing as she was instructed and the bonfire lit, the smoke rose high up to the sky and returned to the ground, exactly where the Cross had been buried. Thus began the yearly celebration of the discovery.
According to the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, the discovery of the True Cross is traditionally believed to have been in March, but Meskel was moved to September to avoid holding a festival during Lent, and because the church commemorating the True Cross in Jerusalem was dedicated during September.
