💭 European Union Commissioner for International Partnerships Jutta Urpilainen met President Taye Atske-Selassie during her visit to Ethiopia on 14 October 2024. Commissioner Urpilainen congratulated Taye Atske-Selassie for his election as President of Ethiopia. They discussed regional issues, the situation in Ethiopia and further enhancing the EU-Ethiopia partnership, notably via the Global Gateway. Commissioner Urpilainen encouraged further dialogue.

Commissioner Urpilainen also had a very insightful exchange with EuroCham and others on the business environment in Ethiopia. Challenges remain, while Ethiopia’s potential is undeniable. The Commissioner elaborated on Global Gateway priorities and EU support to the private sector.

Of course, the purpose of the visit is to facilitate the opportunity for the genocidal Fascist Gala-Oromo regime to escape from justice and accountability, to encourage it and also to contribute to the Bayraktar TB2 drones and artillery shells purchased from Turkey and built with the help of the Europeans and Americans so that the Fascist Gala-Oromo regime can continue its genocidal jihad against the Christians of Northern Ethiopia.
