በሙሴ ዘመን ሰላዮቹ ስለ ተስፋይቱ ምድር የሚገልጽ ዘገባ ይዘው መጡ። ሁሉም ሰላዮች ምድሪቱ በስጦታ ጥሩ እንደሆነች ተስማሙ፤ ነገር ግን አሥሩ ሰላዮች እስራኤል በሚኖሩባት ሕዝብ ምክንያት ምድሪቱን ሊወስዱአት አይችሉም ብለው ፈሩ፤ “የመረመርናትባት ምድር የሚኖሩባትን ትበላለች። እኛ ዞረን የሰለልናት ምድር የሚኖሩባትን ሰዎች የምትበላ ምድር ናት፤ በእርስዋም ዘንድ ያየናቸው ሰዎች ሁሉ ረጃጅም ሰዎች ናቸው። በዚያም ከኔፊሊም ወገን የሆኑትን ኔፊሊም፥ የዔናቅን ልጆች፥ አየን፤ (የዔናቅ ዘሮች ከኔፍሊም የመጡ ናቸው) እኛም በዓይናችን ግምት እንደ አንበጣዎች ነበርን፥ ደግሞም እኛ በዓይናቸው ዘንድ እንዲሁ ነበርን አሉ።”( ዘኍልቍ ፲፫፥፴፪፡፴፫ )። እዚህ ላይ ኔፊሊሞች እንደ የዔናቅ ዘሮች ተገልጸዋል እናም ግዙፍ ከሆኑ ወይንም ትልቅ መጠን ካላቸው ሰዎች ጋር ተቆራኝተዋል። ይህ በዘፍጥረት ፮፥፬ ላይ፤ “በእነዚያ ወራት ኔፊሊም በምድር ላይ ነበሩ፤ ደግሞም ከዚያ በኋላ የእግዚአብሔር ልጆች የሰውን ሴቶች ልጆች ባገቡ ጊዜ ልጆችን ወለዱላቸው፤ እነርሱም በዱሮ ዘመን ስማቸው የታወቀ ኃያላን ሆኑ።፡ ከሚለው ጋር ተመሳሳይ ነው። በእያንዳንዱ ጉዳይ ላይ በተለይም የተስፋይቱን ምድር ለመውሰድ በሚደረገው የእጅ ለእጅ ጦርነት ውስጥ በጣም ጠንካራ ተቃዋሚዎች ይመስላሉ።

፮ ምድርን ከሰለሉት ጋር የነበሩት የነዌ ልጅ ኢያሱና የዮፎኒ ልጅ ካሌብ ልብሳቸውን ቀደዱ፤ ፯ ለእስራኤልም ልጆች ማኅበር ሁሉ። ዞረን የሰለልናት ምድር እጅግ መልካም ናት። ፰ እግዚአብሔርስ ከወደደን ወተትና ማር ወደምታፈስሰው ወደዚች ምድር ያገባናል እርስዋንም ይሰጠናል። ፱ ነገር ግን በእግዚአብሔር ላይ አታምፁ፤ እንደ እንጀራ ይሆኑልናልና የምድሪቱን ሰዎች አትፍሩ፤ ጥላቸው ከላያቸው ተገፍፎአል፥ እግዚአብሔርም ከእኛ ጋር ነው፤ አትፍሩአቸው ብለው ተናገሩአቸው። ፲ ማኅበሩ ሁሉ ግን በድንጋይ ይወግሩአቸው ዘንድ ተማከሩ። የእግዚአብሔርም ክብር ለእስራኤል ልጆች ሁሉ በመገናኛው ድንኳን ተገለጠ።

እግዚአብሔር አምላክ ኢያሱን “ብርቱ እና ደፋር ሁን” አለው፡፡ እንደ ካሌብ እኛም በውስጣችን ሊያልፍን የሚችል ያንን የድሮ “የአንበጣ አስተሳሰብ” መጣል አለብን፡፡ እኛ በክርስቶስ ቃል ወደተገባልን ምድር ገብተናል እናም ሁሉንም “ውሸቶች” የምናስወግድበት ጊዜ አሁን ነው፡፡

I suspect there are descendants of the Nephilim in the world today. Are The Nephilim their offspring behind the whole Covid pandemic drama and trauma? The Nephilim were decimated by God through those two brave “grasshoppers” Joshua & Caleb. Are they avenging spirits at work?

In Moses’ day, the spies brought back a report about the Promised Land. All the spies agreed that the land was good with bounty to offer; however, ten of the spies also were fearful that Israel could not take the land because of the people living in it: “The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size. We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them” (Numbers 13:32–33). Here the Nephilim are described as the descendants of Anak and are associated with men of great size. This is similar to Genesis 6:4 where they are associated with “heroes of old, men of renown.” In each case, they would seem to be formidable opponents, especially in the kind of hand-to-hand combat that would have been involved in taking the Promised Land.
