History of Ethiopia በሚል ርዕስ ስለ ኢትዮጵያ ታሪክ የፃፈው ታዋቂው ታሪክ ጸሐፊ Sir E.A Wallis Budge እና 'Islam in Ethiopia' በሚል ርዕስ ስለ እስልምና ተከታዮች ወደ ኢትዮጵያ መምጣት የፃፈው ሌላው የታሪክ አዋቂ Spencer Tramingham በ615 ዓ.ም የመሀመድ ተከታዮች በእንግድነት ወደ ኢትዮጵያ መምጣታቸውን ጽፈዋል፡፡ በተለይ ስፔንሰር ትራሚንግሃም የተባለው ጸሐፊ ወደ ኢትዮጵያ ከመጡት የእስልምና እምነት ተከታዮች መካከል የተወሰኑት ወደ ክርስትና እምነት እንደተቀየሩ ዘግቧል፡፡ ዋሊስ ባጅ ደግሞ ኢትዮጵያ ከሌሎች የክርስትና ሀገሮች ሁሉ የክርስትናን እምነት ስታስፋፋና ስታጠናክር እንደኖረች ገልፆ ነገሥታቱ ሁሉ የክርስትና እምነት ተከታዮች እንደሆኑ አስረግጦ ፅፏል፡፡ እነዚህ የታሪክ ምሑራን የሙስሊሞችን ወደ ኢትዮጵያ መምጣት ፅፈው ስለ ንጉሡ መስለም ትንፍሽ አለማለታቸው የአረብ ጸሐፊያን ትርክት ባዶ ቅዠት መሆኑን አመላካች ነው፡፡
'ጎድፍሬይ ዴል' የተባለው ሌላ ታሪክ ጸሐፊም 'እስልምናና አፍሪካ' በሚል ርዕስ በፃፈው መጽሐፍ በተጠቀሰው ዓመት የእስልምና እምነት ተከታዮች ወደ ኢትዮጵያ መምጣታቸውን ሲጠቅስ ንጉሱ የእስልምናን እምነት መቀበሉን የሚጠቅስ ታሪክ አልዘገበም፡፡ ይልቁንም የተወሰኑት ስደተኞች ወደ ክርስትና እምነት መቀየራቸውን በደማቁ ጽፎታል፡፡ የእስልምና ጸሐፊያን ግን እንዲህ ያለውን ታሪክ የማይዘግቡ ከመሆኑም በላይ ያልነበረ ታሪክ ፈጥረው ክርስቲያናዊውን ንጉሥ እንደ ሰለመ በመፃፍ በታሪክና ስም ማጥፋት ዘመቻ ተጠምደዋል፡፡ ይሁን እንጂ የቱንም ያህል ሀሰትን በማስፋፋት ራሳቸውን ቢጠምዱ ከምኞታቸው በተቃራኒ የተወሰኑት ሙስሊሞች ክርስትናን ተቀበሉ እንጂ ንጉሱ ፈፅሞ አልሰለመም፡፡
በመሀመድና በንጉሱ መሃል ተደረገ የተባለውን የደብዳቤ ልውውጥ መነሻ በማድረግ የአክሱም ንጉሥ ወደ እስልምና ተለውጦ ነበር የሚለውን መላምት ስንመለከት እርስ በእርሱ የሚጋጭ ይሆናል ምክንያቱም መሀመድ የአክሱም ንጉሥ እስልምናን እንዲቀበል የላከለት ደብዳቤ ነው በተባለው ጽሑፍ ላይ ስሙን " ንጉሥ አጽሃማ" ሲል ንጉሱ እስልምናን እንደተቀበለ ገለፀበት በተባለው ደብዳቤ ላይ ደግሞ የንጉሱ ስም "ንጉሥ አርማህ" ተብሎ ተገልጾአል በመጀመሪያ ሁለቱ ስሞች የተለያዩ ሲሆኑ መሀመድ ተከታዮቹን ወደ ኢትዮጵያ ላከ በተባለበት ዘመን (615 ዓ.ም) በአንዱ አለበለዚያም ሁለቱንም ስሞች አንድ አድርጎ የተጠራባቸው ንጉሥ አርማህ ቀዳማዊ የነገሠው ከእስልምና በፊት ከ442-456 ዓ.ም ሲሆን ዳግማዊ አርማህ የተነሳው ደግሞ ከ817-822 ዓ.ም ነበር ስደተኞቹ ኢትዮጵያ ደረሱ ከተባለበት ከንጉሥ አድርአዝ (595-615) ቀጥሎ የነገሠውም ንጉሥ አካለ ውድም ሲሆን ዘመኑም 615-623 ዓ.ም ነበር።
የእስልምና እምነት ተከታዮች ወደ ኢትዮጵያ እንደመጡ የሚነገረው በ615 ዓ.ም. አካባቢ ሲሆን በወቅቱ በሥልጣን ላይ የነበረው ንጉሥ አካለ ውድም (615-623) ነበር፤ ስለዚህ ሙስሊሞችን የተቀበላቸውና ማንበብና መጻፍ ከማይችለው ሀሰተኛ ነብይ ከመሀመድ ጋር የደብዳቤ ልውውጥ ሲያደርግ ነበር የተባለው ንጉሥ 'አካለ ውድም' ነበር፡፡
የደብዳቤው ዋነኛ ዓላማ የአክሱሙ ንጉሥ እስልምናን እንዲቀበል መጋበዝ ሲሆን አክሱም እንደ ክርስትና እንብርት የአንድ አምላክ እምነትን ስታራምድ የቆየች ከተማ እንደመሆኗ መጠን ትምህርቱ አዲስ የሚሆነው ብዙ ጣኦት ለሚያመልከው የዐረብ ምድር እንጂ ለክርስትያኑ መንግሥት ባለመሆኑ ብዙም ተቀባይነት እንደማይኖረው ግልጽ ነው። እስልምና እንደ ሃይማኖት የጠራ አመለካከት ይዞ ተቀባይነትን ባላገኘበትና በእግሩ ባልቆመበት ሰዓት ክርስትናን በትጋት ታስፋፋ የነበረችው ኢትዮጵያ የስደተኞቹን እንግድነት የተቀበለቻቸው በክርስትና ወግ መሆኑ መዘንጋት የለበትም።
በአጠቃላይ ታሪኩ ተአማኒነት የሌለውና ከራሳቸው ከዓረብ ጸሓፊዎች በቀር ምንም አይነት የጽሑፍ ሆነ በቁፋሮ የተገኘ መረጃ የሌለው መላምት ብቻ ነው።
ይህን አመለካከት አንድ የታሪክ ምሁር “ብዙ ተከታይ ከአካባቢውና ከጎረቤት አገሮች ለማግኘት የተደረገ ጥረት" ሲሉት (ስርግው፥ 190)
ኮቢሻኖቭ የተባለው የታሪክ ሰው ከመሀመድ ለንጉሱ ተጻፈ የተባለውን ደብዳቤ በተመለከተ " የፈጠራ ወሬ" ብሎታል (Axum ፥ 112) እንዲሁም ተክለ ጻድቅ መኩሪያ" የዚህን የወዳጅነት ግንኙነት በክርስቲያኑ አክሱማዊ ንጉሥና እስልምናን በመሠረተው በመሀመድ መካከል የተደረገውን የደብዳቤና የሰላምታ መተዋወቅ የሚያውቁ የአረብ ጸሓፊዎች የአክሱም ንጉሥ የሰለመ መስሏቸው ጽፈው እንደሆነ አይታወቅም" በማለት ገለፀዋል።
(የኢትዮጵያ ታሪክ ኑቢያ አክሱም ዛጉዬ ፥ 376) ስለዚህ ይህና ሌሎች የታሪክ ሰነዶች እንደምያስረዱት አል ነጋሺ የሚባል ንጉሥና እስልምናን የተቀበለ የአክሱም መንግሥት አለመኖሩን በመገንዘብ ታሪክ እንዳይዛባ ሁላችንም ልንጠነቀቅ ግድ ይለናል።
ሙስሊሞች ሆይ ኢትዮጵያ የክርስቲያን ደሴት ናት አይ በአማርኛ ሳይሆን በአረብኛ ንገሩን ካላችሁ ደግሞ ኢትዮጵያ ሂይ ጂዚራት አልመሲሒያት። ባዶ በርሜል ጩኸት ያበዛል!
"እነዚያ በሰረገላ እነዚያም በፈረስ ይታመናሉ፤ እኛ ግን በአምላካችን በእግዚአብሔር ስም ከፍ ከፍ እንላለን እነርሱ ተሰነካክለው ወደቁ፤ እኛ ግን ተነሣን፥ ጸንተንም ቆምን፣ አቤቱ፥ ንጉሥን አድነው፥ በጠራንህም ቀን ስማን"<መዝሙረ ዳዊት ምዕራፍ ፳፥፯፡፱>
♱ 615 AD Ethiopia: Who Was the Christian King'? King Akla Wedem
So, referring to the false narratives of hadiths that are used as a second source of information after the Qur'an in the Islamic world; What they say, "There was an Islamic king named 'Al-Najashi' in Ethiopia" is a big lie. It wasn't at all.
Based on the correspondence between Muhammad and the king, the hypothesis that the king of Axum converted to Islam is contradictory, because in the letter that Muhammad sent to the king of Axum to accept Islam, his name is "King Atshama" and in the letter in which the king said that the king had accepted Islam, the king's name is It is described as "King Armah". At first, the two names were different, but at the time when Muhammad sent his followers to Ethiopia (615 AD), King Armah I, who was called one or both names together, reigned from 442-456 before Islam, and Armah II arose from 817- It was 822 AD, when the refugees arrived in Ethiopia, after King Adraz (595-615), the reigning king was Akla Wedem, whose era was 615-623 AD.
It is said that the followers of Islam came to Ethiopia in 615 AD. It was in the area and the king who was in power at the time was Akla Wedem (615-623); Therefore, the king who accepted Muslims and was in correspondence with Muhammad, the false prophet who could not read and write, was 'Akale Wudam'.
The main purpose of the letter is to invite the king of Axum to accept Islam, and as Axum is a city that has been promoting monotheism as the center of Christianity, it is clear that the teaching will be new to the Arab land, which worships many idols, and not to the Christian government. It should not be forgotten that Ethiopia, which was actively promoting Christianity at a time when Islam as a religion was not accepted and did not stand on its feet, accepted the hospitality of the immigrants in the Christian tradition.
In general, the story is just an untrustworthy hypothesis with no written or excavated information other than the Arab writers themselves.
A historian called this view "an effort to gain many followers from the surrounding and neighboring countries" (Sargw, 190).
The historian Kobyschanov called the letter written by Muhammad to the king "a fabrication" (Axum, 112) and also, "It is not known whether the Arab writers who know the acquaintance of letters and greetings between the Christian king of Axum and Muhammad, the founder of Islam, thought that the king of Axum was blessed." He explained.
