A Biblical Plague? ISIS Stronghold on Verge of Leishmaniasis Epidemic

In northern and eastern parts of Raqqa, more than 2,500 cases of the disease have been recorded. Its spread has been prolific amongst the jihadists. The ISIS stronghold is on the verge of a true epidemic, even though the terrorist organization has been trying to stop the spread.

The disease also has began to hit the Palestinians in the Palestinian territories with 47 cases in the last 3 months versus 50 cases in the entire last year.

Palestinians calls the disease The Jericho Fly Disease and I am quite familiar with it since my brother had the curse during the Six Day War in Jericho 1967. The disease lasts for at least one month up to 6 months and spreads quickly through the body. Outbreaks typically follow wars and civil strife and is increasing dramatically in Iraq and Syria’s occupied areas by Islamic State.
